On The Horizon was born from a genuine passion for the outdoors and a desire to be part of a lifestyle that has given me some of my best memories.

After spending 15 years operating boxing gyms and competing in combat sports, life was often fast-paced, demanding, and high-pressure. Training, competition, coaching, and the day-to-day responsibilities of running gyms meant there was always something demanding my attention.

Then I became a father.

Like many parents, I quickly realised that getting away wasn't as simple as throwing a swag in the back of the ute and heading off for the weekend. Time became more valuable, preparation became more important, and convenience started to matter.
Camping and getting outdoors became my release, and having kids in the digital age required extra effort to connect the kids to the reality of life off screens. 

What I loved most was the ability to pack up, hit the road, and be immersed in nature within hours. No airports, no rigid schedules, and no complicated planning—just quality time with family, fresh air, and the freedom to explore.
It became my way of switching off from the pressures of business and competition, slowing down, and reconnecting with what mattered most. Whether it was a weekend away, sitting around a campfire, discovering a new campsite, or watching the kids enjoy the outdoors, those moments quickly became some of my favourites.

The more time I spent camping, travelling, and embracing the lifestyle, the more my passion for it grew. What started as an escape became a genuine love for adventure, exploration, and the incredible places Australia has to offer. 

Over time, I realised I wanted to be more involved in the industry that had given me so much. Not because I was looking for another business venture, but because I genuinely love the lifestyle and wanted to build something connected to it.                        That's how On The Horizon began.

Like many outdoor enthusiasts, I've spent countless weekends exploring Australia's backroads, coastal campsites, bush retreats, and hidden destinations. Through those experiences, I've developed a deep appreciation for quality gear and the role it plays in making every trip easier, more comfortable, and more enjoyable.
The outdoors has always represented more than just camping. It's about freedom, family, adventure, and creating memories that last long after the trip is over.
