Running solar

Nothing gets drilled. The panel comes with brackets that slide into the C-channel on the tent, so it clamps on and comes back off without putting a hole in anything.

How it wires up. The tent has an Anderson plug pre-wired to it. That is what feeds the 12V socket, the USB and the LED strip inside. Most people run that plug straight to the battery in their vehicle, canopy or tray, and that is the whole job.

The panel is a separate part of the circuit. On the back of it there is a junction box with two leads coming out, and those leads carry raw DC that rises and falls with the sun. It does not go straight into the tent. It feeds a solar controller and battery, or a portable power station with a solar input, and the tent then runs off that battery. If you are already charging a battery for a fridge, the panel feeds the same setup.
